Having been a loyal follower of Deliciously Ella’s blog/books for a long time, I was very excited to visit her London deli. Located just off Oxford Street, the deli is the perfect sanctuary to escape the hustle and bustle of city life (particularly if you go when it’s not full of fans like myself!) The deli offers a great location to enjoy a plant-based breakfast, lunch or coffee/snack.

On this occasion, we went for coffee and cake, and I’ve been back since for lunch (and the same lemon cake because it was so nice!) The price was as expected- a little at the higher end for lunch but having followed some of Ella’s recipes and knowing the higher cost of free-from ingredients and fresh veg/fruit I think this is highly justified. The salad bowls are delicious and colourful, although I must say I’m more likely to return to it as a coffee and cake location because the mains are the kind of thing I make for myself daily. For me, the main sell of the place is the relaxed friendly vibe and the decor- beautifully and simply furnished, light and airy, and make sure you go downstairs for the pink walls! It’s the perfect spot to while away a morning or afternoon catching up with friends or working.
