Famed for its rhythmic hedonism, laid-back bohemia, and rich heritage, Ibiza is ultimate escapism. With crystal-clear waters and stunning coastal coves and cliffs, the island’s ethereal beaches provide the ultimate paradise to escape to.
We hired a car for a day to access the quieter, more secluded beaches and bays, and with a little pre-planning and a my poor Google Maps co-pilotting, were able to visit beaches like locals. Driving along the rolling cliffs on the way offered stunning views too. We visited Cala Vadella and Es Torrent, located in the South-Western San Josep area. Next time, I’ll allow us to get fully lost, and just follow any beach signs that come our way!
Formentera is Ibiza’s little sister, famed for its stunning white beaches and glass-like clear water. With all the scenic beaches Ibiza offers, I would say a Formentera trip wasn’t worth the effort, however its sheer Caribbean-like beauty (I have never been in water that clear) made the extra effort worth it.
